He has worked on tracks with rapper Drake, the Black Eyed Peas’ will.i.am, Michael Jackson, the Killers, Lenny Kravitz, Weezer singer Rivers Cuomo, Linkin Park, Fall Out Boy, Snoop Dogg, One Direction‘s Louis Tomlinson, LMFAO, Iggy Azalea, Lil Jon, and collaborated with producers such as Armand van Helden, the Bloody Beetroots, Afrojack, Laidback Luke and multi-award-winning Tiësto.[2]

Aoki had the highest grossing dance artist tour in North America in 2012 and released in 2013 his debut album, Wonderland, which was nominated for Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronica Album.

He is the founder of the Steve Aoki Charitable Fund, which raises money for global humanitarian relief organizations.[3] On April 21, 2017, he appeared as a special guest on the Netflix series Bill Nye Saves the World.

It’s not even the 1% that be Rihanna and Drake that are always on a high. You’re talking about the 0.00000001% that stays on a high the whole time… because they are the ones pushing the culture entirely. They are the ones that define what the culture is meant to be, you know.

The reality is, even if you are the 1% who actually get to the high, realistic you will drop and you have to be OK with that and just keep working, keep making more music, and remaining true to the people that are leading you, connecting with them, saying, “Come with me guys, we’re gonna go, we’re going to go on this trip. It might not be something you’d expect but just come with me. Trust me! And some of you are not gonna trust me, once you hear it but it’s fine, it’s fine, but we are gonna keep on trucking, we’re gonna get to the next, the next adventure. And I hope you guys continue because it’s going to be different and I’m gonna try to keep surprising you.
