Chronic degenerative diseases, in as many as nine cases out of ten where there is no genetic risk factor, are an epiphenomena or syndromes driven by a dreadfully unhealthy modern diet and lack of physical activity, which we have created for ourselves, that is so far away from the diet and lifestyle that we evolved within and are fundamentally adapted to. We are so far outside our comfort zone that we are dying in very very large numbers as a result of this lifestyle.
If you can reach people early enough then these condition, many of which are considered to be entropic. i.e inevitable and progressive, that they are none of those things. They are reversible. I predominantly work with patient who have degenerative joint diseases, though I did hear a story by an esteemed academic colleague of mine who worked with a 77 years old man who was diagnosed with Parkinsonian Syndrome (PS) by a consultant neurologist, on the basis of partial anosmia and active night terrors. My colleague recommended a nutritional program designed to stop chronic inflammation, restore a predominantly gram-positive microbiota and alleviate Type B malnutrition. Those who work with me know what this entails. The man was seen again by his consultant 3 years later, who, after checking the patient’s records and current condition, declared that his initial diagnosis must have been wrong. The anosmia had not worsened, there were no obvious motor deficits or other PS symptoms. It was only after a spiral test that the consultant was able to confirm that this was indeed Parkinsonism. But it was marginal, and had not progressed. This is somewhat atypical.
This Consultant was initially so much at a loss or confused to see his patient improving that he was more willing to say, “I am sorry, I must’ve got my diagnosis wrong, you can not have Parkinson’s. I am so sorry that I misdiagnosed you because I know that you have been living under the shadow of this terrible diagnosis and prognosis of deterioration”. He would rather admit that he was wrong than consider the possibility that he may well be right, but for the first time in his experience, he came across a patient who changed his lifestyle – changed their nutritional and metabolic profile – and, as a result, the pathology that was driving his condition went away, his natural repair mechanisms improve and his clinical picture was transformed.
I have heard of a number of similar cases like this, being relayed to me by other clinicians and those who work with the human body from different corners of the globe. When doctors and clinicians see this, the more enlightened ones, instead of dismissing it out of hand, the ones that are really concerned with the welfare of their patients, start to look deeper into these concepts. We are always more than happy to welcome them to the enlightened family.
Yours optimally,
Scott
